NeoGen Plasma

NeoGen simultaneously treats multiple aspects of the health and appearance of the skin using unique Nitrogen Plasma technology. Our Nitrogen Plasma technology is distinctive and sets it apart from traditional skin treatments. By generating plasma from nitrogen gas, NeoGen creates a controlled thermal energy that can be precisely delivered to the skin. This energy stimulates a cascade of positive effects, targeting multiple concerns simultaneously, such as wrinkles and lines, the eye area and skin tightening.

How Does NeoGen Plasma Work?

NeoGen plasma resurfacing works by using nitrogen gas to create plasma energy that is directed at the skin’s surface.

  • Energy penetrates the skin, inducing controlled trauma

  • Stimulates the body’s natural healing response

  • Stimulates the production of collagen, elastin, and new skin cells

  • Leads to smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin

NeoGen FAQ's

Is NeoGen Plasma the same as CO2?

The main difference between Neogen and traditional CO2 laser resurfacing is the way the treatment is delivered. Neogen uses nitrogen gas to create plasma energy, while traditional CO2 laser resurfacing uses laser energy. The plasma energy used in Neogen treatment penetrates the skin at a shallower depth than laser energy. This makes Neogen treatment more effective for treating fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, while traditional CO2 laser resurfacing is better for deeper wrinkles and scars.

How many treatments of NeoGen should I have?

When you get in touch with us for a consultation, we will talk you through all your concerns and skin requirements and decide what course of treatment is best for you.  We will also discuss the number of treatments you would need, and the different levels of energy required to achieve the result you want.

Are there any situations where I might not be able to have NeoGen?

There are certain circumstances where individuals would not be eligible for a NeoGen treatment

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals

  • Those with active skin infections or open wounds

  • Individuals with a history of keloids or hypertrophic scars

  • People with allergies or sensitivities to plasma energy

  • Those with certain medical conditions or medications that may interfere with the healing process

It is essential to make us aware of any medical conditions during your consultation.

What is the recovery time after a NeoGen treatment?

The initial recovery phase after Neogen treatment lasts four to fourteen days depending on the depth treated, during which time the skin may feel tight, dry and will appear dark and possibly crusty. However, after the initial phase, new collagen starts to form, which can take up to three months to see full results. Ongoing improvements can occur up to six months after treatment and even up to a year after the treatment.

What should I do to prepare for my NeoGen treatment?

When you attend our clinic for your consultation, we will provide you with the  pre-treatment instructions. You will be advised to avoid direct sun exposure, discontinue certain skincare products, and follow a proper skincare routine to prepare your skin for the treatment.  Ensuring you are fully hydrated before you attend the clinic for your NeoGen treatment is essential for great results.
